Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-11-04
1. Provider and scope
These Terms govern the use of aurenote (the 'Service'), offered by Recica Solutions with registered office in Neuhausen am Rheinfall. The Terms apply in the version valid at the time the contract is concluded.
2. Contract conclusion
There are three ways to aurenote. Purchase through the checkout: you choose a plan on aurenote.ch and pay through our payment provider Stripe; the contract is formed when the payment is confirmed, we open your account automatically and send you your login details. Purchase in the iPhone app: you take out a subscription with your Apple ID; Apple is the contracting party for the payment, and the contract with us is formed once you then create your account in the app. On request: you request a demo or a plan through the form; the request is non-binding. We confirm plan and price by email (offer), and the contract is formed when we open your account and send you your login details. In all cases you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy at your first login at the latest; business customers additionally accept the Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
3. Scope of service
aurenote provides a cloud-based platform for creating notes and automatic transcription of online meetings (Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, Cisco Webex). The specific scope of service follows from the selected plan (see pricing page) and our confirmation by email.
Transcripts, summaries, action items and answers to questions about your notes are generated automatically by AI. They may contain errors: misheard words, wrongly attributed speakers, gaps or statements that were never made in that form. We give no warranty that this content is correct or complete. Check it before you rely on it or pass it on.
4. Customer obligations
You undertake, when using aurenote, to:
- comply with all applicable laws, in particular the Swiss FADP and the EU GDPR
- obtain the consent of all participants before any meeting recording (Art. 179bis Swiss Criminal Code)
- keep your credentials confidential and not pass them on to third parties
- not use the service for unlawful purposes, spam, harassment or mass scraping
5. Prices and payment terms
Prices are stated in Swiss francs (CHF). With a Stripe subscription, the plan is charged in advance, monthly or yearly, to the payment method on file; invoices are available in the customer portal. With a contract on request, we invoice your plan monthly in advance and send the invoice by email; it is payable within 30 days. With a purchase in the iPhone app you pay with your Apple ID; Apple's terms apply to payment, renewal and refunds. While the early-adopter offer runs, new customers receive a 30 % discount on the list price for the first 12 months; it is deducted at the checkout or shown on the invoice. If a charge fails or payment is late, we reserve the right to suspend the service after a reminder. Any refunds are made pro rata temporis.
6. Termination
You can cancel the contract at any time: a Stripe subscription in the Stripe customer portal (Settings, Billing), where it ends with the current billing period; an Apple subscription in your iPhone's Settings (Apple ID, Subscriptions), at least 24 hours before it renews, where it ends with the current period; a contract on request by email to info@recica-solutions.ch, effective at the end of the current month. In case of serious violations of these Terms, we may suspend the account without notice.
7. Data export and deletion
You may export your data at any time as a ZIP file (Markdown, recordings and embedded media). After the contract ends you keep access for 30 days to view and export your content; you can no longer create anything new during that time. After that, all personal data is irrevocably deleted. Accounting records are retained for 10 years in accordance with CO Art. 958f.
8. Availability
We strive for an availability of 99 % but do not guarantee it. Maintenance work is, where possible, carried out outside regular business hours and announced at least 24 hours in advance.
9. Liability
We are liable for damages only in cases of intent or gross negligence. Liability for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss is excluded to the extent permitted by law. In any case, liability is limited to the amount you paid to aurenote in the last 12 months.
10. Intellectual property
All rights to the service, the software and the 'aurenote' brand remain with the provider. You receive only a non-transferable right of use for the term of the contract. Your content (notes, meetings) remains your property.
11. Jurisdiction and applicable law
Swiss law applies exclusively, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Neuhausen am Rheinfall, Kanton Schaffhausen, unless mandatory legal provisions prescribe a different place of jurisdiction.
